Infant

The Infant Program at Mariner Montessori is a nurturing environment, structured to meet the developmental needs of the youngest of our children. Babies are provided with engaging learning materials in a peaceful yet stimulating setting.

Toddler

A toddler class begins the educational process during the sensitive period for language and movement, from 18 months – 36 months. In this class, toddlers are encouraged to have independence and to explore and make choices in a safe environment.

Preschool

Preschool offers a peaceful, beautiful, and orderly learning environments. Children learn with multi-sensory, hands-on Montessori materials. Children develop independence, self-motivation, and confidence while becoming responsible community members.

Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.

Mariner FAQ

Q: What age does Mariner Montessori accept? We welcome children from 6 weeks through 6 years old across all five campuses. Our carefully designed programs — Infant, Toddler, and Primary — meet each child exactly where they are developmentally and grow with them every step of the way.

Q: What is included in tuition? At Mariner, tuition includes freshly cooked lunches and daily snacks. No lunchboxes. No compromises. We believe a well-nourished child is a ready learner — and that exceptional care means attending to the whole child, not just the classroom.

Q: What are your teacher-to-child ratios? We hold ourselves to a significantly higher standard than Texas requires — Infant 3:1, Toddler 8:1, Primary 10:1. These are not minimums we aim to meet. They are commitments we make to every family who trusts us with their child.

Q: Where are your campuses located? Mariner Montessori serves families across the greater Houston area with four thoughtfully designed campuses — Galleria, Houston Heights, Memorial Hermann Southwest Houston, and The Woodlands. Each campus is built to the same high standard so every Mariner family experiences the same quality of care, wherever they are.

Q: How do I enroll? We offer rolling admissions year-round. We recommend starting with a campus tour — seeing Mariner in person is often what makes the decision clear. Tours can be scheduled directly on our website.

Q: What makes Mariner Montessori different? Mariner is built on one belief — that every child deserves the highest quality early education, without exception. We combine authentic Montessori methods with a STEAM curriculum, maintain teacher ratios that exceed state standards, serve freshly cooked meals daily, and hold a highest Texas Rising Star 4-star rating across our Houston campuses. What our families tell us most — Mariner doesn't just feel like a school. It feels like a second home.

Q: What is the Texas Rising Star rating and why does it matter? Texas Rising Star (TRS) is the State of Texas's official quality rating system for early childhood programs — and a 4-star rating is the highest designation a school can earn. Less than 10% of licensed childcare programs in Texas achieve it.

Our Galleria and Houston Heights campuses proudly hold the Texas Rising Star 4-star rating. Our Woodlands campus is currently completing the certification process — a rigorous journey that takes up to a year — because we believe every Mariner campus should be held to the same standard, without exception.

At Mariner, we don't pursue the 4-star rating because it looks good on paper. We pursue it because it reflects the standard we hold ourselves to every single day — in our classrooms, in how we hire and train our teachers, in the environments we design for children, and in the care we extend to every family we serve.

For parents, a TRS 4-star rating means one thing: this school has been independently evaluated and verified to meet the highest standards of quality in Texas early childhood education. It is not self-reported. It is earned.
